Cookie Policy

This document explains which browser technologies Syneps uses, why they are needed, how long data is retained, and how users can manage it.
1. Scope
This policy describes cookies and local browser storage used with Syneps on syneps.ai, www.syneps.ai, and staging.syneps.ai. The processing of personal data is described in more detail in the Privacy Policy.
2. Essential session cookie
Syneps uses one technical httpOnly cookie required to sign users in, maintain authentication, and operate protected product features.
Purpose: to associate browser requests with the user's authenticated session.
The cookie cannot be accessed by page JavaScript. Access and refresh tokens are handled by the server-side BFF and are not stored in browser localStorage or sessionStorage.
The authentication session lasts for up to 24 hours.
The cookie is not used for analytics, advertising, or marketing profiling.
3. Data in localStorage
To restore unfinished text, Syneps may store up to 40 chat drafts in localStorage. localStorage is not a cookie and can be accessed by site JavaScript.
No separate automatic expiry is configured for drafts. They may remain in the browser until the user removes them, clears browser storage, or they are replaced by newer drafts within the configured limit.
Authentication tokens are not stored in localStorage or sessionStorage.
4. Technologies not currently used
The current version of Syneps does not use analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies. Syneps also does not use separate cookies for advertising personalisation or cross-site tracking.
5. Managing browser data
Cookies can be deleted or blocked through browser settings. Without the essential session cookie, sign-in and protected Syneps features may not work, and the user may need to sign in again.
Saved drafts can be removed by clearing site data or localStorage through browser settings.
6. Changes to this policy
If Syneps begins using new cookies or other browser technologies, this policy will be updated. A new version will be published at the same address with its effective date.
